I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in the mental health field since 1983 in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  My career in mental health began as a psychiatric nurse at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where I worked in the locked adult inpatient psychiatric unit. I taught at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois for thirteen years (1987-2000), and provided clinical supervision to psychiatric nurses and psychiatric residents during their psychotherapy rotations. Over the course of my graduate studies I worked with adolescent and adult populations in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including University Of Illinois Hospital, West Side (Chicago) and Hines Veteran Administrations (Maywood), Mercy Medical Center (Aurora), Maryville Academy (Des Plaines) and Rush University Medical Center. I completed my full time psychology internship in adolescent and adult psychology at Illinois State Psychiatric Institute in Chicago, Illinois and my additional year of supervised experience in psychotherapy and neuropsychological testing at Rush University Medical Center.

I have worked in the mental health and personal growth field since 1983 and continue to find much fulfillment in my work. I see myself as a consultant or guide in healing and personal growth–a consultant who is an expert in helping you through the change process. I am skilled in understanding the full range of human experience and relationships and bring to the process experience in defining, understanding and working with the full breadth and depth of what you want to address in your life. I educate about available approaches and facilitate a process to restore optimal functioning, promote growth; and increase self-confidence, happiness and a sense of fulfillment. I enjoy and work well with both men and women in individual or couples counseling and therapy.

My experience in a wide range of both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings with varied populations makes me an excellent choice in choosing a professional who understands and has experience with the full range and depth of human experiences.  As a result of this experience I am well equipped to identify growth and treatment opportunities and to serve as a guide and facilitator in helping you to meet your goals.  I provide diagnosis and treatment for the full range of cognitive-behavioral-emotional and relational issues or symptomatology that may emerge in life in clients 18 years of age or older. I also work with those who wish to increase self-confidence, achieve personal growth and restore or create a fulfilling marriage or intimate relationship. I am recognized by The National Register of Health Service Providers, and I am also a member of both the American Psychological Association and the Illinois Psychological Association. My practice has been a member of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce since 2000.
