The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the lighting dimmed for a softer mood. Although that is not what the experience was like. We had a reservation for our anniversary and it was as if they had no place for us to be seated. We ended up sitting in between two large parties when we were clearly trying to have a nice romantic evening. It was incredibly busy, which I'd expect for a Saturday night, but the tables were packed like sardines in a can and there was little to no room for the waiters and waitresses to walk by so every time they'd bump into your chair or brush by your food. Holding trays over your head, I swear I thought something was going to fall on me. We could hear every conversation that other guests were having at the tables around us. There was also a bar where they were watching football and yelling every now and then. I was extremely dissatisfied with the experience all together. We were trying to have a romantic evening in what we heard was a very nice restaurant, and ended up not talking due to the fact that we couldn't hear each other. My boyfriend had been there when it was located near Sullivan's steakhouse, and said it was a nicer, more reserved Italian restaurant. Now it's as if they're trying to compete with the surrounding bars in Naperville and become a more modern nightlife experience. Overall, the service was good under the circumstances. Portions great, prices decent. So if you're planning a party or going out for drinks with friends or co-workers, it's a nice place to "hang out", but I wouldn't consider it a romantic evening dinner kind of place if that's what you're looking for. Unfortunately my experience has been a little to unnerving for me to try it again. I don't think we'll bee returning to Rosebud.
