Maria’s Gyro started off with a simple idea. Bring delicious, high-quality, authentic Greek gyros to Naperville. When Mike and Maria first immigrated to the US from Greece one of the things that they missed was the authentic Greek street food that you could get all over Athens. They tried store after store but nothing tasted quite like the food that they were used to. It wasn’t until they had the great idea, “How about we just make it ourselves?” And thus the idea for Maria’s Gyro was born. Maria’s Gyro aims to bring a little taste of Athens to Naperville and show the people here what real authentic Greek street food is supposed to taste like.
