Busser – General Job Description:
Talk about an important role. When guests come to Gia Mia, you make sure the food and the beverages are the star. Our bussers make sure everything is always ready and welcoming. To provide our guests with a clean and tidy restaurant while also supporting and assisting all team members throughout the guests dining experience:

  • Open the restaurant up by setting up different stations with the necessary items
  • Close down the restaurant and breakdown, clean and organize areas of the restaurant
  • Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables after diners are done eating, pre-bussing
  • Wiping up water spills, food stains and dirt from tables
  • Replacing cutlery and glassware in anticipation of new guests
  • Reset all tables after guest departure
  • Restocking different areas of the restaurant with necessary items to keep the follow of business consistent
  • Greeting and refilling drinking glasses with water
  • Bringing out meal orders for guests when needed
  • Handling cleaning of the restaurant at the close of day

Required Skills

  • Desire to provide exceptional service throughout the entire shift

Food Runner – General Job Description:
The liaison from the culinary side to the hospitality side, your role is vital to the execution of all food delivered to each guest. Our food runners make sure every item prepared in the kitchen is too standard and matches the order from the front of the house team members that put it in. Responsibilities are:

  • Prompt and accurate delivery of food to each table
  • Uses the seat positions provided to not auction off the items to our guests
  • Understand how to read food tickets and different modification expectations
  • Can communicate with the kitchen team and front of the house team and needs and questions of items
  • Executes dishes with proper plating and garnishments
  • Expedites when a Chef or Manager on Duty is not available
  • Assist guests needs in teamwork between yourself and the servers and bartenders
  • Clean, sanitize and turnover tables quickly when needed
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant including bathrooms, dining room, patio and work areas
  • Demonstrate outstanding hospitality and service through each shift with guests and team members
  • Engage in teamwork

  • Take and manage all reservations

  • Coordinate with servers and bussers on available seating options

An enthusiastic skilled line cooks to prepare next level high quality dishes based off the menu presented to our guests. An excellent line cook must be able to handle high pressure volume, ability to multi-task and execute dishes in a fashion that sets a precedent within our guests.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment for that shift
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling of vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
  • Present time management skills to ensure food quality is taken care of while multi-tasking
  • Have knowledge of how to cook menu items in various utensils or equipment
  • Produce dishes that are consistent every time they are presented to our guests
  • Comply with all food, sanitation and safety regulations
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Continue to check quality of ingredients throughout that shift
  • Provide information to your management team when there is a need for items to properly execute your responsibilities
  • Bring ideas and solutions to your management team on ways to better your restaurant and execution

  • Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order
  • Attend to Guest whenever necessary
  • Present menus and help guest to select food and beverages with your exceptional menu knowledge
  • Take, repeat and serve all orders taken in a timely fashion
  • Answer questions or make recommendations
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to make each shift successful
  • Perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Toast
